Discover Jesus’ invitation to come closer when doubt drives us away.

Disappointment bruises the bravest of souls. The nagging ache of uncertainty causes us to grow weary and afraid to hope. Doubt entices us to wonder if God is good when life is not. Yet, our hard questions can become opportunities for Jesus to show us who He is.

Perhaps you know Thomas for his bouts with doubt. But Jesus knew Thomas for the courage to question and the bravery to believe. When a crisis of faith revealed his deepest doubts, Jesus met Thomas’s deepest longings.

The authors bring two unique perspectives to flip the script on the story of Thomas. Whether you are a seeker, skeptic, or seasoned leader, you will learn to live untangled from uncertainty, leverage adversity, and lead with confidence through challenging circumstances.

Thomas exchanged his uncertainty for a life of tenacious faith. When we encounter Jesus, we can too.

Thank you, Hubert and Angela, for reminding us that disappointments don’t have to define us and doubt doesn’t have to paralyze us.  As you journey through “Brave Enough to Believe” you will be encouraged and taught how to starve your doubts and feed your faith.

It was my distinct privilege to work with Pastor Hubert Morris for several years in local church ministry. He and his daughter, Pastor Angela Donadio, have now given us a wonderful gift in their new book on the life of Thomas, “Brave Enough to Believe.” I found it an insightful and inspiring read—refreshingly honest and personally faith-building. It narrates the story of Jesus’ profound influence on the Apostle Thomas, leaving Thomas to grapple in unexpected ways with who Jesus was and what spiritual growth could look like. At a time when so many are struggling to make sense of the world around them, including their own faith, this book is a word in season for everyone one of us.

As a life-long student of the Bible and a relentless pursuer of truth, I have often found myself being drawn to the men and women who knew Jesus in the flesh. I have longed to know what it was like to laugh with Jesus, hear His stirring stories and to watch in disbelief and awe as He healed the sick and raised the dead.

I have found a source of Bible treasure in “Brave Enough to Believe”. In this book, I have felt the sweat of Thomas as he wrestled with the Truth of the ages; I have heard his uneven breathing as he wondered if he was losing his mind.

“Brave Enough to Believe” combines Bible scholarship with a riveting human interest story found on the sacred pages of scripture. Reverend Angela Donadio and her father, Reverend Hubert Morris, have combined their years of ministry, communication, and love of the Bible in this one volume that is both earnest study and heartfelt insight.

“Brave Enough to Believe is for two types of readers; those who love to study the Bible and those who wonder if their doubts are too massive to overcome. I believe that we all fit into both categories.

Although this is their first book written together, I certainly hope that it won’t be their last!

One could not find a more timely book in a troubled world. “Brave Enough to Believe” by Pastor Angela Donadio and her father, veteran Pastor Hubert Morris, is an inspiring study of the Apostle Thomas - historically remembered as “doubting Thomas.” The authors explore the disciple’s life through the New Testament narrative and three less remembered but pivotal encounters he had with Jesus. Through Thomas’ journey with Jesus and stories from the authors’ ministry journeys, we are reminded that sincere skeptics can also be fervent seekers, sold-out followers, and seasoned leaders. They can even impact nations. “Brave Enough to Believe” is a faith-building read for Jesus-followers and ministry leaders in challenging times. And it’s a needed reminder to allow our hardest questions of faith to drive us closer to Him - not further away. A welcome read!

Angela Donadio and her father Rev. Hubert Morris have done something unusually effective: they have co-authored a book that reads seamlessly. This study of the life of the Apostle Thomas, as in 'Doubting Thomas,' provides an engaging study of this disciple within the context of Jesus' ministry as described in the Four Gospels. Each chapter concludes with Angela and her dad's particular testimonies and insights about Thomas and what it means to follow Jesus. I truly enjoyed reading this book and endorse it without reservation! It is well worth your time to read and digest.
